We are honored to establish the Henry L. Zucker Professional Development Fund of the Jewish Community Federation in honor of the exemplary professional values Henry imparted to and nurtured in his colleagues. Henry’s lifelong devotion to professionalism is reflected in the philosophy of a newly created annual mentorship program that will transmit the values inherent in the Federation mission and provide comprehensive orientation for new staff. It is our hope that this approach will encourage the retention of quality staff and subsequently provide continuity of service to the community.

In remembering Henry, we underscore the importance of setting the highest of standards for Jewish communal professionals.

His teachings are worthy of transmission and his ideals worthy of replication. We take great pride in having known him and in being able to establish this fund as a tribute to Henry’s professionalism.

It is our hope that the program honors the memory of his work that was so well done, and creates opportunities for future professionals to likewise do good work on behalf of the community.
