Alice & Jordan Band

What a joy it has been for us, Jews born in Cleveland, raised here, participants of the wonderful Jewish community, to have worked with and learned from many gifted Jewish leaders and to have witnessed much of our success. We in Cleveland may not be quite as good as we think we are, but we have much to be proud of.
It is a fact that our home base of civic activities throughout our adult lives has been the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, truly the central address of the organized Jewish community. It is here where key decisions are made which have benefited Jews of Cleveland for generations.
Our principal civic activities have always included actions to ensure the security and creative survival of the Jewish communities here, throughout the United States and, of course, the state of Israel. Jordan’s particular efforts were most often in the field of community relations, including the struggles against bigotry, and in support of civil rights, human rights and equal opportunity.
Our hope and prayer is that in the Federation, the Jewish community and the general community of the future we will continue to point the way toward a better world for all.
