For us, “L’dor v’dor” is not just the relationships of grandparents to parents and parents to children. It represents the obligation of each of us, long beyond our own lives and beyond the boundaries our own families, to nourish and preserve Jewish values by caring for those in need and by sustaining Jewish life and observance. In creating a charitable legacy that is administered by a Federation so devoted to those values and one that permits our children to participate in this mission, we believe we have meaningfully and wisely met this obligation.
