We are privileged to have been raised by two compassionate and loving parents who early on set an extraordinary example of love and commitment to each other, to us, to family and to our extended Jewish communal family. From early on they taught us the meaning and importance of tikkun olam, repairing the world. We listened as they spoke about the Jewish agencies to which they gave so much of their time and talent-especially the Jewish Federation and the Campaign for Jewish Needs. Our mother, an educator, devoted her life to ensuring that Park Synagogue’s children received a meaningful Jewish education in cooperation with the JECC. Our father, a financial planner, helped ensure the stability of agencies like the Federation, JFSA, Montefiore and Park Synagogue as they helped provide ever increasing programs and safe spaces for the vulnerable in our community. We are proud to be their children and hope that we have been a credit to them in continuing to ensure the family legacy.
