My inspiration for making this commitment to the Jewish Federation of Cleveland came from the example of my parents, Fred and Muriel Rivchun.

My father and mother worked so hard in the family jewelry store to create a good life for me and my siblings. I think of all of our family’s wonderful stories related to Jewish Cleveland….the weddings, the B’nei Mitzvah, the anniversaries.  

Throughout my life I have saved a portion of my earnings, first while working as a teacher, then at the Council for Smaller Enterprises (COSE), and finally as the President of Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.)

How wonderful it is to live a full life and still be able to leave something for others to enjoy, to thrive, and to accomplish. When we combine our efforts, our dollars, and our enthusiasm, we can move mountains.
