Florence & Ben Padwa

It was the rabbi's 100th birthday. Everyone was congratulating him. A teenager spoke up. "Rabbi," he said, "tell us what is important in life." The rabbi thought for a moment and said: "Be honest. Be truthful. What you say may later haunt you in life. The second is tzedakah. Now, enjoy life. Have the pleasure of seeing the fruits of your giving ... of helping others." It is by these beliefs we live. It is an honor to be inscribed in the Federation's Endowment Book of Life.
