I spent much of my childhood immersed in educational pursuits. We lived frugally but my mother managed to buy a bookcase in order to protect the collection of writings we held so dear. In spite of the hardships, her desire to create an atmosphere conducive to learning had a lasting impact on me. I subsequently earned a Ph.D. and dedicated myself to a lifetime of teaching others.

It is because of my interest in and commitment to helping educate young people that I establish the Grace F. Brody College Scholarship Fund of the Jewish Community Federation.  I hope that the assistance provided through the Fund will help recipients achieve their educational goals in order to fulfill professional dreams.

It is an honor and a privilege to give back. This gesture underscores my confidence in the future of the Jewish Community Federation and the future of young people in our community.
