Hedy & Michael Milgrom

Never hesitate!” This was the advice my father gave me when he was teaching me how to drive. As the years and decades pass, I’ve realized that this advice was not exclusive to driving but rather the motto by which my parents, both Holocaust survivors, led their lives, never hesitating to take care of their families and their Jewish community.

I have always considered it important to support the Jewish community, both here and in Israel. This is something I learned from my parents, and it was reinforced by my Jewish education and the time I spent in Israel. I want that support to be my legacy to my children and grandchildren.

Over the past 40 years, Hedy and I built our home and raised our children with the same Jewish values with which we were raised. The Cleveland Jewish community, with its amazing network of Jewish schools, synagogues and social service agencies has supported us throughout our journey. We want our descendants to know that part of how we care for them is by supporting the Jewish community that we are part of.
This community was built over the decades by the vision and generosity of hundreds of others who never hesitated to do the right thing. Mike and I are so fortunate to be able to create our endowment funds and are humbled to be part of this group. Most importantly, we do this in honor of all future generations of our family and hope that the legacy will endure.
