The grandfather of Ruth, my beloved wife of 55 years, was one of the leading rabbis in the early days of Cleveland’s Jewish community.  Rabbi Emmanuel Schoenbrun instilled Jewish values in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  My children and grandchildren became involved in the Jewish community through encouragement from Ruth and me to perpetuate Jewish values and traditions.  For both of us, Jewish heritage has been a very important part of life.  If there was something that could be done, then our primary responsibilities were to my family and to the Jewish community.
