Lois & Martin Marcus

I feel so very fortunate that my grandparents had the courage and foresight to leave their home in Russia to provide a better future for their children. My parents, grateful to have lived their lives in America, instilled in me the value of tzedakah, a recognition of our obligation to share our good fortune with those in need, and to care for one another as if we were all one family.
My wonderful husband, Marty, has encouraged me, throughout our marriage, to devote my time, energy and resources to the pursuit of this worthy goal. Together, by virtue of our community involvement and our philanthropy, Marty and I have tried to set an example for our new generation of children and grandchildren. They, in turn, have demonstrated a devotion to our Jewish community that would make their beloved ancestors proud. It is in memory of those who came before me and in honor of those who follow, that I have created this endowment.
