Unlike many other signers of the Endowment Book of Life, both Molly and I come from backgrounds with no history of tzedakah.  Our families were first generation immigrants who spent the depression years fighting to keep their children together and clothed and fed. Of equal importance to our parents, was instilling in us a love of the Jewish people and our rich heritage.

As fortune smiled upon us, we became supporters and volunteers for many Jewish causes, none more important than the Federation.  We have been blessed to see our children and grandchildren carry on their responsibility to these causes, l’dor vador, from generation to generation.  This makes the honor of being inscribed in the Endowment Book of Life all the sweeter to us.
