As involved volunteers for over 50 years, we acted upon our commitment to the global Jewish community by traveling to Israel after the war in 1967 and to Russia in 1975 to support Nathan Sharansky, Ida Nudel and the refuseniks.  We were welcomed with open arms by total strangers, and experienced firsthand the real connection of Jew to Jew.  We have constantly been inspired by seeing our Jewish brothers and sisters struggle throughout the world through terrible hardships to preserve their Jewish traditions and Jewish homeland.  We are proud of our participation in the development of our excellent local and national agencies, and remain committed to seeing all Jews flourish.  Through our legacy, we hope to perpetuate this essential work and to encourage future generations to carry on in our tradition in order to ensure the Jewish people are one now and forever.
