It is our privilege to participate in the Endowment Book of Life of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland. This commitment to the future reflects our families’ life-long tradition of tzedakah and tikkun olam – a tradition that is being passed to our sons Howard and Jonathan and granddaughter Erica.
We are fortunate that our grandparents came to the United States at the beginning of the 20th century, escaping the pogroms and anti-Semitism of Poland and Russia. We are also fortunate to have lived in Cleveland, where the Jewish community has flourished and where we have been able to lead productive Jewish lives.
Each generation must carry the responsibility of ensuring the future of the Jewish community. In so doing, we honor our parents and grandparents, children and grandchildren. As we benefited from those who preceded us, so must we benefit those who follow.
