How blessed was I that my parents Hilda and Max Weinberg were able to escape Berlin, Germany in April 1939.  From an early age I learned how grateful they were to have the opportunity to live unoppressed in the Jewish community of Cleveland, Ohio.  

Penni’s tradition of Tzedakah also came from her family at an early age, as the Mandel legacy is broad and deep.  Following our parents’ examples, we now strive to develop future leaders, strengthen connections to Israel and the Jewish community, and maintain our families’ legacy to making the world a better place.

Weare both grateful for the opportunity to sustain our rich heritage.  As well, the lessons learned from the Jewish Federation of Cleveland will help guide our charitable commitments and serve as an example for our children, grandchildren and future generations.
