When I was a child, living on a farm, my mother arranged to have four books from the Cleveland Public Library delivered almost weekly by the milkman.  I became a voracious reader and collector of books, with a passionate interest in history and religion.  Raised by observant parents, I was especially interested in the history of the Jewish people.  Throughout my early years in Russell and Nelson, Ohio and later in the Navy and in my legal practice,  I was exposed to other religions and beliefs, but never lost sight of what I had learned from my reading of the great Jewish thinkers:  For a Jew, giving to the community is not an option, it is a requirement.

I am proud to be able to discharge my obligation to our Jewish community by leaving this legacy for future generations.
