Shelley & Ron Gross

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The next best time is NOW. We are planting our legacy tree now.
We have a close family member who has special needs. He was born in 1963, when there were no services provided by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland or its agencies that could help our family. Our hope is that through our legacy giving no family will ever be without support.
When we got married, Joe Wolf, our father and father-in-law, sat us down and discussed why we should join a synagogue. He said that if we only join when we utilize the services such as religious school, a synagogue could not survive. We feel the same goes for the Jewish Federation. We are fortunate to live in a vibrant Jewish community in Cleveland and feel a strong connection to the worldwide Jewish community. We want the Jewish community both locally and globally to remain strong for our children and future generations.
Our hope is that our strong commitment provides inspiration to our children to continue giving to their ability; and when they can, to support the Jewish Federation with their own Legacy gifts.
